I have been mostly lurking around here particularly enjoying the projects and pictures so I thought I should contribute a bit myself. This build is from a couple years ago but was one that I had a lot of fun with. My buddy and I worked at a corn maze for fun and saw the owner's pumpkin cannon of course I said the infamous phrase "you know what we should do!". Well the rest is history and we had a blast building a pumpkin cannon that can throw an 8" dia. punkin approx. 1800 ft (1/3 mile). Enjoy
Reply:Nice job. It looks like fun. I can't get away with that stuff around here anymore. If we have beans for supper, next day 17 concerned citizens show up to investigate the noise, and six of them have notified the authorities. Nice building your working in there too. Was that some kind of travel trailer in the third picture?---Meltedmetal
Reply:Looks like pumpkin chunking could be alot of fun. Nice clean cannon you built! That thing would put a stop to the left over asphalt salesman we get coming up the drive this time of year
Reply:Nice job, where did you find the tank at? Also, what size of tank is that?
Reply:It was a lot of fun to build. the camper you see is our target at the punkin chunkin. We got the tank from a local petroleum company "western petroleum". It was an out of service tank that would have gone to recycling. They gave it to us for free if we would put their logo on the side which we happily did. It is 325 gallons.
Reply:Love it man!
