I came across these items in a box of tools I recently aquired and I don't know what they're for. I thought the first item was a bending brake for a shop press (and it may be) but then I noticed the stamped numbers on the side. Could it be a "precision bender" and therefore needs to be assembled properly to ensure it's precision? The second item looks like a jig for holding a specific part for machining and may be a "one off" for something the previous owner did on a recurring basis. The last pair of items mean nothing to me. Anyone have any ideas or guesses? Attached Images

Reply:thats gonna drive me crazy
Reply:They may just be a few homemade jigs made up to make someones life easier, they don't look like anything i would use in my workshop
Reply:Some custom jigs/fixtures for stuff the previous owner had a use for.  The best laid schemes ... Gang oft agley ...
Reply:yeah man, if you see some of the jigs I make for some things you'd never figure out exactly what it's for just by looking at it and guessing. they seem to be built for some specific purpose that maybe the previous owner is the only one who really knew what they were for.miller 330a bp TIGmiller dynasty 200DX TIGmillermatic 185 MIGthermal dynamics cutmaster 101 plasma cuttersnap-on YA5550 plasma cutterhypertherm powermax 30 plasma cutterbaileigh CS225 cold sawetc....
Reply:The second picture looked like a shopmade vice for holding a bandsaw blade for brazing. The two rods look like a set of two hole pins, they would be used to level a weld on pipe flange.
Reply:Pretty sure the first pic is mill table fixtures, for what I am not exactly sure, but I know I could have used them a couple of times in the past.
Reply:The first one looks like a checking jig for a QC inspector to check angles on partsi made some things for the QC guys for doing spot checks from different machinesThe second is a fixture jig but for whatThird could be a depth gauge checker may be notBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ?? Reply:Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. If I ever come across a project where one of these tools could be useful, I'll just name them based on their use at that time. Then I'll reply back with the name and what it was used for so everyone knows what they're used for
Reply:I just call stuff like that a thingamajig.
