Its leaking oil when it is running, about 1/2 qt in a 8 hr day. How hard is it to replace the seal/gasket in between the engine and generator on this machine? And where do I get the parts. I need to do this ASAP! any help and advice would be greatly appericated. Thank you. Attached Images
Reply:a complete tear down, and u can get the parts from Bills Welding, Oklahoma City, OKStumpf Welding, Mascoutah, ILLare a couple of good shops! Good Luck
Reply:It has a older style rope oil seal. You need a version of the Lisle or KD Sneaky Pete tool to pull out the old one and get the new one in without dropping the crank out. There are some shops putting a conversion seal holder for modern one piece lip seal in them now but it's best done when doing a complete overhaul. Just do a search for sneaky pete tool and lots of them come up. A good NAPA or Montes can supply the seal kit too.http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/lis27000.htmlhttp://www.montesequipment.com/ |
