hey guys i am new here to the forums, i came across this website as i was searching for shop manual or some sort of help to figure out what is wrong with my welding gen set!sorry my english is not the best but i will try my best to write properly. anyways the problem i am facing with this gen set is that, soon as i fire it up it idles really high and there is no current to welder what so ever. I took off the plunger thinking that could be the problem but its not(controls the idle i believe, their is a rod hooked up to lever) so now i am assuming that solonid or plunger is getting no ac current or voltage signal to control the idle. but that all makes sense because my welder is not working to begin with so now my question is Where should i start to diagnose the problem and what steps can i take?any help would be greatly apperciated!!thanks
Reply:Lincoln does have a service manual for your welder. contact you local welding supply store they should be able to sell you one, or put you in touch with your lincoln rep. who can arrange to help you get one. if nobody will help PM. me your location and your e-mail.

Reply:anybody can down load an owners manual. free. It comes with a small trouble shooting guide and a diagram. A full service manual can only received from a from a welder supply store or service shop. with a suggested price of around $45. some time the lincoln area reps can give you a copy. If you ask. We have to pay to get their service DVD.go back to post number 2
Reply:You have a circuit board error, you popped a couple zener diodes, quite common for this particular machine |
