I'm wondering if "T" grade hose is alright to use with acetylene? All my torch outfits are configured with "R" grade hose and my hose reel came with this "T" grade hose. I don't run anything but acetylene and have no supplies for other gasses. I also have no experience with any other fuel gas. Thanks,SlobPurveyor of intimate unparalleled knowledge of nothing about everything.Oh yeah, also an unabashed internet "Troll" too.....
Reply:T is fine with acetylene. R is for acetylene only, and T is for other fuel gasses including acetylene. T is also a bit better overall as the tube and cover is both flame and oil resistant. You might find the info here of use in understanding all this.http://weldingdesign.com/processes/h...gulator-safety.No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
