I have been using a chopsaw but it takes so long to do one cut? What is the easiest way to cut these 45 degree angles
Reply:Got a cut off wheel? Bandsaw?I use my bandsaw for 90% of my cutting the loud, noisy chop saw sits under a bench.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Cold saw or make a guide and use a plasma. If you don't have either, neither option is cheap. But would be the "easiest"
Reply:So I have a cutoff wheel and a chopsaw and have been looking for bandsaw any one in particular and what blade
Reply:How much you wanna spend ??? HF for $200.00 or a ELLIS for $2500.00. Depends how much use you have and how much you want to invest.
Reply:You can do it with a torch if your good with one. If not then a cold saw.
Reply:I highly recommend the Milwaukee portable band saw. They are around $300 new and less if you find a decent one used. I cut everything from wood to aluminum to steel with it and nothing cuts faster. The only limit is how far 'into' a piece it can cut (OK cutting at the end of large pieces or just about anywhere in a long, skinny piece, but not so good at cutting in the middle of a large sheet of material).KevKevin / Machine_Punk from The Aerodrome Studio - Lincoln PowerMIG 210 MP - Meco N Midget w/custom welding station - Vintage Victor 100Current Projects: The Aerodrome Studio
Reply:Has anyone tried a metal blade on a chopsaw? A surplus place here in Houston sell the 14" for 120$ and they use it on there chopsaws but they only cut straight not 45 degrees.
