Lincoln Weldanpower 250 G9 Pro

I picked up one of these awhile ago (for free, ssshhhhhhh...) and haven't been able to find much info on it. The generator started up and ran fine til the starter gave out but i was unable to get it to strike an arc ! The setup wasn't ideal , the cables were old and cracked and the grounding clamp was alittle rigged to.It sat for awhile and now i noticed that it's missing a fuse .I plan on replacing the starter and trying the fuse and cables to see if that may be the problem .Anyone have any info on them ? Are they any good or woth me spending any money on it ? It seems like a stout unit just older.Rich

The Ranger 9 is the updated version and technically is also in the last of the best list.Many G9 Pro's will load test at 275-300 amps if the engine is in good shape. 9KW 120/240 on the AC aux power side. Reply:i don't plan on selling it but just for sh!ts and giggles what would it be worth ? Any idea where I should start troubleshooting the the welder/generator output side ?

Reply:Ok ...soooo this post is over a year old and I FINALLy ordered a starter for the thing. Next is a battery. Hope this thing is worth it ! I guess , if it runs again,I have to start with the simplest things. Are there any fuses that may cause this scenario ? Keep your fingers crossed !Rich
