Code 8705Well, I finally found where the dangling wire goes on my welder. It is #219, goes to the fine current control. Took a good look at the full wave bridge and found that the tab for it was broken off from the bridge and still in the wire's connector. Not enough left on the bridge to repair. So I need a replacement. The manual doesn't have a part number. I will take a look at Lincoln's site, but thought I would ask here too. I just looked on the Lincoln website. Do they even sell parts? I couldn't find anything about it on the site. Of course it could just be me not seeing the obvious. :-)Also, would the fact that the fine current control was not connected due to the broken connection above keep the welder from outputting any voltage? Thanks,RussLast edited by russ69coupe; 09-04-2010 at 11:35 PM.RIP Mallory, we miss you.
Reply:Well, here's one http://miller4less.com/advanced_sear...sort=1a&page=1 that's not from Lincoln but I'd use it just the same. A full wave bridge rectifier of the correct capcity by any other name is still a FWBR.And yes, that's why you wouldn't be getting any output.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Cool. Thanks! Just ordered one. The low order fee almost doubled the price, but at least there wasn't shipping on top of that. Got a question. how do you (or how can I) find the capacity of the one on my machine? I was hoping that the parts list would have something, but at least the one I have for it doesn't.Thanks,RussLast edited by russ69coupe; 09-05-2010 at 12:24 AM.RIP Mallory, we miss you.
Reply:I always order something extra (even if it's more of what I need) to get above the minimum order amount so I'm at least getting something for my money.FYI, the Lincoln PN for your units bridge rectifier is T13637-1. For a "Lincoln" replacement you'd have to go thru a Lincoln distributor and/or authorized repair shop and would have paid at least as much or more. When the specifics aren't listed I usually go by any field voltage fuse size for the minimum amp rating and add 5-10a. As for a voltage rating, anything above 200v is adequate for field voltage usage.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:Thanks. I should have looked to see what else they sell, but was thinking only about not buying more than I had to. Might have worked out better if I had. Oh,well. And I really need to do some practicing on the lincoln parts page. I had forgot about being able to find the part id number. sheesh. RussRIP Mallory, we miss you.
Reply:I'm certain there are some but right off the top of my head I can't think of any items from miller4less that you could use on the Lincoln but being a holiday w/e and all your order may not have been processed yet. Call their Customer Service and ask them to ammend your order to two units if it hasn't and at least that way you'll be getting something for your money.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base! |
