Hey ;I have a used Code 8928 Weldanpower with a 16 HP Briggs Industiral that run good with the high auto idle coming on by itself. I decdied to clean it up and noticed that I had to replace the armature thru bolt , missing, and a fan that was all busted up. I marked the wires carefull when I took it apart, including the two from the high idle solenoid. I had to remove the choke coil, and engine, then loosened up the armature from the Briggs tapered shaft. Again, I marked carefully.Took out the brush holder assembly also Now here I am at is that the auto high idle will not work, undless, you trip the high idle switch. Before I took the machine apart, the high idle come on when you struck an arc, or put a demand on her for juice. The AC voltage on low idel is about 70 volts, on high idle about 100 volts. So any ideas as to what in the heck is wrong would be appreicated. . Can those two solenoid wires be crossed at all? Kinda of a brain teaser. Waht is it that senses the load anyhow? tanks
