weldanpower 225 g7 -Idle is high

Hi,bought this welder and it just runs on high (there is no low idle)-------Also there is nothing on the out side of the machine that shows the code--Is there somewhere inside were i can find the code?I don't have a battery for the welder,I jump start with my truck.Could that be reason of high idle?Thanks ejp

Reply:Just got home from work and could not wait to see if I had a reply,Now you have to understand that I did look all over this machine for a code and did not see anything-WELL,if I would have cleaned the top left hand front of the welder---------LOL------ I feel like a idiot--LOL Well the code is 9817------------thanks -ejp-------

Reply:On Saturday had time to replace the brushes.After work yesterday pulled the battery out of the truck and connected it to the welder.The welder fired up and was in high idle,after around 30 seconds the welder went to low idle (sweet).Then I plugged in a grinder,turned on the grinder,welder went into high idle,after the grinder was turned off,about 30 seconds later I had low idle.Then I made a few welds,the welder ran like it should.Then I pulled the + cable off the battery and the welder when to high idle and it ran that way till I put the + back on the battery.So this machine needs a battery connected all the time.I would say everything is OK.--------thanks---ejp-------
