Where to buy Idle solenoid

Hello,I need an Idle solenoid for a sa-250 with the perkins diesel. Mine is getting power to it, but isn't strong enough to pull back for some reason. Never worked since I got it a year ago...I called my local welding supply to get a price and a day later they called back with a price of around $300 I think that is a little steep....Any good places for getting this online? Is this the same part that is used on the gas models? Should it be a square or round solenoid. I saw one on ebay, but it wasn't like what I have on mine..Thanks...
Reply:TRY this. unplug the coil. start the engine and then apply 12 volts to the coil. see if it will pull in. If the pin is to far out of the coil it will not pull in against the springs. Make sure you can gently push the arm into the coil. Make sure it is not stuck.Must have the code number off your welder to be able to answer any questions about the coil it's self. Always post the code number on a lincoln welder. That way we can look up the right diagrams and part lists.
