Mig- Lincoln SP 200 AB ( Question)

Hey Guys/gals:Brand new to this forum and hoping someone could be kind enough to help me with a problem I'm having with my old Lincoln SP 200 mig. Welder works fine except when I let off of the trigger the gas solenoid valve chatters pretty good. Just started doing this in the past couple weeks. I can put my hand on it and feel it chatter, as well. Well, I just thought the solenoid was going bad so I got a new one from Lincoln and the new one does the very same thing. It does not chatter while I'm running wire, just when I let off the trigger it chatters. I guess it is chattering as it is stopping the flow of gas. Flow meter is reading 25 cu ft/hr. when trigger is pulled and it has not been changed for a very long time.  As I said the welder works OK, but I know something is amiss and want to fix it so it does not quit on me in the middle of a job. I have a body shop and use it regularly.Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.thks, Jerry
