Mig wire brands

Noob question, but still important.. I've read here to buy quality mig wire.. What brands are "quality".. I see on e bay a hundred different brands.. 1/8" - 3/16" Mild Steel .030 & .035 solid with a 200amp mig..

Reply:I'm with CEP on Lincoln L 56 .030. My 211 Miller likes it and it is a 12 and a 1/2 pound spool.
Reply:Where the L-56 impressed me was on a fillet weld break test. 29-blows of a 4-pound hammer to break the weld. Reply:How do you know one wire is better than another?  Is the problem with kinks, feeding, etc..? or is it how they weld?I've used three spools of Hobart of different sizes and it seems fine, but I don't have another brand to compare it to.

Reply:Puddle wet out with Lincoln's L-56 is always very good. Arc quality is generally pretty good too, so I consider L-56 a solid choice to go with.I purchase HTP products. I am not a fan of their wire though. The arc quality is fine. Weld puddle wet out is the area were I have an issue with the wire. To me, the puddle wet out is sluggish.Hobart Brother's HB-28, is a good wire. Puddle wet out isn't as good as it use to be, but it's definitely better then the HTP wire.ESAB Spool Arc 86 is a good wire. Reply:Esab spool arc 86 is easy to get for me. I like it as well as L-56. Used to use Harris wire ,but they don't carry it by me anymore.
Reply:I believe I have a hyper discerning personality. I have never been impressed or depressed in the wire vs wire category.  Harbor Freight works for me.
