Regular maint question for a lincoln Sa-250 Diesel

Just got a Sa-250 D3.152 diesel I was looking to find some info about what engine oil, filter number, fuel filter number, air filter number and how to reprime the fuel system after changing the fuel filter? Any help would be awesome. Thanks
Reply:I have the same machine. For the filters I go to carquest. Not sure if u have one of them where u are At but u could look up and cross refrence on the web. Oil # 85460. Fuel # 86166. Not sure for the Air. As for the fuel, remove the old and replace. Then use the manual pump, the lever on the pick up pump, to fill the bowl. The only way I know how to bleed the system is to undo the 3 hard lines that go to the injector and crank the engine untill solid fuel spits out of each and all the air is gone. This has worked for me but there may be an easier way
Reply:I use shell rotella t all yr long 15-40. It's what I run in all my diesels. Temp range is 40f-110 degrees   Just my preferance

Reply:I have a sneaking suspicion it's all in the manual, usually available online, or available from your dealerBTW...........if the rings are good...........Rotella by all means, but if it's blowin' down into the crankcase use the Wal Mart cheapo 15-40. Reply:I have looked through all the manuals I could find on lincolns web site they talk about the machine but when it comes to any thing about the engine it says to refer to the engine operators manual. When I looked up the perkins only thing I could find on them is the 4 cylinder 4.1 something perkins. I guess if I can't find it out here I will go by the dealer ship and talk with them.
Reply:You should own an engine manual anyway, but...Filter numbers vary by manufacturer.Oil specs vary by climate, operating conditions, and personal preference.When changing filters, if air is carefully purged from the filter housing(s) and at the two bleed screws on the injection  pump housing you may get by without cracking the lines as FEARSUM described.Good LuckLast edited by denrep; 05-27-2010 at 08:42 AM.
Reply:I belive I got my engine manual at.  Pdfgeni.com. Search Perkins 3.152. As for the fuel filter, u can try to change it without purging after but I haven't had luck with that. These Perkins can be very picky and hard to get started once u get air in the system. If u purge at the injectors u are for sure all the air is out.
