Klutch MTS 220A welder from Northern????

This looks like a pretty interesting machine. I understand Northern has a good reputation for standing behind what that sell. The welder is supposed to put out 220a for mig welding. It is very light at 30lbs. And comes with a spool gun. At $670, it seems like you are getting a lot for your money. I haven't been able to get much real life info on it. Reply:My friend bought the klutch inverter 200 amp stick welder and he has run the snot out of it, it's still going. I bought the same welder because it has a lift tig function, I use it for tig welding. Northern told me they now repair all their welders in house. So far the 200 amp welder has worked well for me with a tig rig. Don't know how well it will do over the long haul.

Reply:I was checking that setup out earlier today but I am torn.  At $699 plus another $100 for the Tig torch you can get the Tweco Fabricator 141i plus the Tig kit that supports GTAW for $50 bucks less.  Decisions decisions...
