Reply:Use fine sand paper to clean after it has been degreased. We use either nyogel or DE-OX.Nyogel is a plug grease and DE-OX Is a grease that is used for aluminum connections to keep them from oxidizing And heating up and melting. You can use any electrical pure grease.
Reply:i called lincoln electric , he told me not to put grease or anything on itm that it should be a tight fit .  said something about cross arcing or something.  switch works , just hasn't been used alot so it's tight.  thanks alot."I'd Rather die on my feet , than live on my knee's"64' Lincoln Sa 200 Redface Code 5496 - Sold 72' Lincoln Idealarc 250 (Roundtop) MillerMatic Vintage
Reply:if you use the wrong type of grease and to much of it  you can cause a problem.use just enough to wet the surface and a old switch will work a lot better. light oil on the detent rollers and they last longer. miller and hobart use a grease on their switches. The right type of grease should not cause a any problems.
