I have a Weldanpower ac225/dc210/6 code#8927. The long bolt that goes through the generator and into the motor shaft has broken, and I need some help.1- Why would this bolt break? 2- I have the 4 bolts out that hold the motor to the frame, but I can not get the motor to separate from the generator. 3- Where can I get one of these long bolts?
Reply:Ask your Lincoln dealer to get you part number T14843 looks like it is still available you will need to heat the frame around the support bearing to get it to release.
Reply:I use to build ranger 10000 and 225 this is how we would separate the rotor from crank shaft we would back up bolt or 4 to 5 turns then with a large hammer hit the rod, this would separate the rotor.Depending on where your bolt broke you might be able to use a steel rod to do the same thing
Reply:Hey dere;I had the smae troubles with my Weldanpower , Code 8928. Workd 3 days getting the rotor off the Briggs mill. Soaked her in Kroil and after taking the brush set out. Kept tapping on the engine crankshaft witha a long iron drift and a 5 pounder . Also, tied off the rotor in case it flew off! LOL So, I got her off on the 3rd day like nothing. to answer your question. I too, had a busted bolt and have no idea why aside from speculating it just unloosened.
