HelloI bought my father in-law a welder/generator today Thermal Arc TA 4 /170 H Scout. The cables weren't included and I am struggling to find information to which cables I require. Just wondering if someone could provide some help? Looking to give the welder as a gift and would like to have all the requirements to use the machine! I have zero knowledge about welding just starting the process of learning...Thanks!

Reply:I haven't done any welding I work in a different field. I got the welder on a very good deal from a customer of mine who couldn't pay his full bill. I understand it might be silly question to most but i cannot find much information online regarding this welder which is why I have posted here.
Reply:lol. maybe someone else here is familiar w/ that welder, i'm not. how many max amps is it, and is it DC or stricly AC output, and how many feet do you want to be able to stretch out w/ you leads
Reply:Hi, if your father-in-law is just using it around his place I would say about 50ft of 2awg should be a good start up. Head down to LWS aka local welding shop, and they can fix you up with everything you need. Man wish I had a son in law!Thermal Arc 210 - Tweco 211I - Cutmaster 52

Recently relocated my family and we are now close to the in-laws. He has is own welding gig on the side but i prefer to have the cables required without asking him. Thanks!
