I was wondering if you guys could give some pointers for my welds. I am using a Lincoln Electric MIG 140, welding on 14 Gauge Steel, settings as per the chart B 2.5.  Using NR-211 0.035' flux core wire.  I double checked the polarity, and beleive I have it correct.  I guess I just expected more slag on the welds.  I am quite new to the whole flux-core welding thing and would appreciate any guidance.  I took an night course on SMAW and MIG welding, but of courseFirst Image is Flux onImage 2 after I brushed off the Flux.
Reply:Looks about right. Maybe turn down the voltage just a touch. You need to work on your travel speed, need to be more consistent.Don’t pay any attention to meI’m just a hobbyist!CarlDynasty 300V350-Pro w/pulseSG Spool gun1937 IdealArc-300PowerArc 200ST3 SA-200sVantage 400

Reply:Thanks for the advice, I will try and work on the suggestions.
Reply:Ever notice how the chubby guys hold their arms?  Sorta out from their sidesI could probably use some more weight though.  It's hard to weld on a real windy day, I keep sorta blowing around, annoying as all get out."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
