Ove Glove

I have short fingers but big hands. Leather gloves don't fit. Those large enough to fit have fingers too long. I always use fabric Mechanics style gloves. These have some stretch, I can make them work OK. They don't work for TIG. I can either use big welding gloves, and sacrifice dexterity, or I have one pair of light leather work gloves I use with a couple of TIG fingers. Every now and then a jet of heat melts the thread and they are ruined. Has anybody come up with a better way? I'm intrigued with the Ove Glove. I want to try them on for size, I haven't yet found them locally, I may have to order online. Will they work? Does anybody have a better idea?

Reply:That's where I got the idea, I wanted to try it then, but that's kind of a personal thing. I think the TIG finger is a wonderful idea, but a whole hand TIG Finger would be incredible! Rod hand is less important, torch hand gets HOT!

Reply:Ya my filler hand fingers get uncomfortably hot on t joint style welds sometimes when I'm in there for a couple minutes or when welding with high amps. It's a pain in the butt
