Simple Bumper and Fifth Wheel Tailgate

We did some swapping around trucks and truck beds at work last week. The boss wanted me to make a simple rear bumper for one of our trucks along with a fifth wheel tailgate as this will probably end up being his gooseneck/fifth wheel puller. This is what I came up with. Simple design didn't take very long to fabricate and its pretty stout too. Cut with ESAB plasma cutter and welded with Millermatic 210. Also found a 6" grinder at a local farm supply on sale for $112 marked down from $209. Couldn't pass It up  You can never have too many grinders either!! Anyways, let me know what you think more pics will come when its painted and mounted.

Reply:geezer it is 11 guage floor plate. And yes it gets used as a lot of things especially plasma table.  theres a few drag marks on the forks I will take some more pics tomorrow as I finshed making the mounts today after my jobs. Thanks for the comments guys
Reply:be mindful of the factory hitch as it relies on the factory bumper for adequate strength.an upgraded hitch might be in order unless you tie the old hitch into the new bumper.
