Reply:http://store.cyberweld.com/tharcstwe...73747765393573 The TA 95S is a nice machine, but understand it is limited in output because its a 110v machine. You can run some 3/32" rods, but may not be able to run full range with them.A better choice would be a 220v transformer machine like a Lincoln tombstone you run off say your dryer circuit. Used you can often find these for $50-150 and there's almost nothing on them to break..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:thermal arc is the manufacturer,  95s is the model. the listing that DSW was kind enough to look up and share comes with the basic accessory kit which is stick only. this machine is also capable of tig. the downside is the very limited power output, but it is also pretty cheap new. if 220 power is an option, there are lots of great options out there like this in lexington http://grandisland.craigslist.org/tls/2817466362.htmlif you budget allows there are some dual voltage welders that you could operate on 110 for now and learn with, and use on 220 later when you figure out a power option and need more output.Dynasty 200DXPassport plus w/ spoolmate 100victor 315c oxy/(act and prop)Miller digital elitemilwaukee power tools
Reply:Thanks for the links guys, unfortunately 220v  isn't a economical addition to my garage the way the townhouse I own is built. Laundry and panel are across the house from the garage and being a 2 story slab built home there would be serious drywall cutting.  All my welding is non structural stuff on motorcycles. Saw HF had s new 70amp stick welder in the feb ad for &75 under item #68888 but isn't on their website for some reason ( Aldo kinda skeptical on how the quality of that cheap of a welder )Lincoln weldpak125 flux core welder. 30gal craftsman 6hp compressor.  $h!t load of HF air tools.

Reply:yeah, but the laundry room is diag. across the house from the garage (panel is in the laundry room as well)...slab built 2 story town-house so no way to get 220 to the garage without massive amounts of drywall cutting Lincoln weldpak125 flux core welder. 30gal craftsman 6hp compressor.  $h!t load of HF air tools.
Reply:was kinda considering this guy...duty cycle seems decenthttp://www.harborfreight.com/welding...der-91110.htmlfound these on ebay but cant find anything about them onlinehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/new-100amp-1...item19caedb31fThe thermal arc looks like an awesome machine but was hoping to do something a little cheaper to just play around with and try something different...I use my Lincoln for stuff that needs to look goodLast edited by Dereks; 02-01-2012 at 02:15 AM.Lincoln weldpak125 flux core welder. 30gal craftsman 6hp compressor.  $h!t load of HF air tools.
Reply:Have you considered an oxyacetylene setup? Motorcycles tend to use a lot of chromoly and OA would save you from having to pre-heat & temper it. Plus no 110v limitation and you can cut with it as well.Montgomery Ward Powr Kraft AC-DC 230/140
Reply:Usually it's just welding on turn signal brackets, baffles in exhaust pipes ect... Just run into places I can't get the flux wire gun intoLincoln weldpak125 flux core welder. 30gal craftsman 6hp compressor.  $h!t load of HF air tools.
Reply:Have you tried removing the MIG nozzle from the gun to reach into tighter areas? It's not necessary with flux core except to protect the tip.You could wrap around the tip etc with some fiberglass cloth secured with a wrap or two of fine wire (away from the tip) to protect adjacent areas.
