Reply:I'd like to know as well.I couldn't find a wattage rating for my HH140, but my little gen is rated same as yours for watts. Mine says it can supply 28A, and the HH140 is rated for a 20A circuit. I don't know if the quality of the wave from these gennys are safe for the welder, but I think it should work in my case.I sure don't want to destroy a $500. welder with a $350 generator.....Lincoln AC/DC 225/125 and WP17. 75A AC is for pipe thawing!HH 140 - new addtion 9/2012.I didn't agree, but hoped for Hope and Change.I got change for myself and my family: for the worse. This is the reality of: Barackalypse Now. Again.
Reply:It is the same generator as mine, just newer... I wouldn't do it.Very unstable mine surges a lot too. Good luck (and if it is ANYTHING less than perfect take it back). Put some hours on it (very soon) while under warranty because the quality of mine was not very high.Last edited by dumb as a stump; 11-23-2012 at 10:14 PM.Reason: dumbMiller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few. Reply:Dad's cheap generator (probably much better than this one) produces such dirty power the cordless tool battery chargers wont work with it.I might try a tombstone welder or something similar, but that would be about it. Nothing with a circuit board.Last edited by Groo; 11-26-2012 at 09:16 PM. |
