Here's the listing, its also on CL for $650, about an hours drive from me.Theres no foot pedal and one of the torches has a gas valve on it.Do these typically have a gas solenoid? From what I've read they sound like solid machines. Are they generally reasonably repairable as far as parts availability and cost?I looked up the manual but it's hard to make out some of the type.It looks like it weighs 775lb and takes either 60 or 80A input at 230, single phase.I can probably convince my wife that while I'll have to put out for the foot pedal,I can probaly get $325-350 for my Lincoln stick machine.Lincoln AC/DC 225/125 and WP17. 75A AC is for pipe thawing!HH 140 - new addtion 9/2012.I didn't agree, but hoped for Hope and Change.I got change for myself and my family: for the worse. This is the reality of: Barackalypse Now. Reply:Nice machine, but check the price for the pedal 1st. My guess is you may be close to $900-1000 by the time you get it rigged out and that's a bit high to me for that machine. Steve mentioned the pedals new aren't cheap recently. Get down in the $400 category and it starts to look better..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Thanks, I'll keep looking. I have read some of the other posts; not suprised the replies come from you guys. Thanks again for taking the time to share your wealth of knowledge and experience.Congrats to both on your moderator status!Lincoln AC/DC 225/125 and WP17. 75A AC is for pipe thawing!HH 140 - new addtion 9/2012.I didn't agree, but hoped for Hope and Change.I got change for myself and my family: for the worse. This is the reality of: Barackalypse Now. Reply:Thanks. Keep an eye on the machine and see if he comes down. That or send him an email offering less if he can't find any takers. You might be surprised how low people are willing to go if an older machine like that sits for awhile with no action, especially around Christmas when everyone can use a little spare cash. You can use the lack of a pedal to help with negotiations. You might also do yourself a favor and add your location to your User CP at the top left so we know where you are located all the time. Several guys here browse CL regularly and they might spot something you missed, or someone here might have a machine in your area they might be willing to let go.Be patient and you'll probably locate something in your price range.
