i purchased a clausing 6307 lathe 110v/220v i can't find out how to wire the capacitors for the motor. it is configured for 110v presently. need to know what it needs for capacitors and some sort of wiring diagram. called clausing they sent me every manual they had but no wiring diagram. called motor manufacture they sent me to clausing. could somebody with a 6300 series please look at theirs to get me the info i need. it would be greatly appreciated. i bought the lathe from an antique dealer that bid on items in a lab and didn't want the lathe paid$100 for it. can't wait to get it going thanks greg
Reply:I've got a 6329 lathe but it is 240 3 ph. I don't recall the info you are looking for in the manual I have from Clausing. Will double check tho.
Reply:Need a bit more information to know what you are asking for. Is the motor with the lathe original to it? As far as the motor goes, how about a photo of the motor plate giving the specifications.Lincoln PrecisionTig 275Miller 251Miller DialArc 250Bridgeport millHossfeld bender & diesLogan shaperJet 14 X 40 latheSouth Bend 9" 'C'Hypertherm 900Ellis 3000 band saw21"Royersford ExcelsiorTwo shops, still too many tools. |
