i have a crazy question here it is i have a 200 Pipeliner i tested the other day with the leads connected and a welding rod to check if it would weld it did, now today i connected the leads again and just a tiny spark but no weld. what could have cause this to happen. has anyone had this problem. please advice.. thanks
Reply:good ground ? how's the connection inside the stinger ? make sure the brush holders aren't keeping the brushes from contacting the communtator. they will rust, so the spring can't hold pressure on them against the communtator. What you described happened to me when I first got my machine and after cleaning everything up, it was good as new. Good luck.
Reply:how about the remote switch
Reply:I had the same problem and it was the commutator, cleaned with a commutator stone and new brushes clear this problem right up. Your remote switch should be on local if you are not using a remote. I have to switch it to local before disconnecting my remote when its running or I will get a spark while disconnecting the plug.
Reply:I had idling/solenoid issues today. A little adjustment and it idles right up.Classic 1D 200SAE 30086 SA 200Hyperthem 45Jancy Mag Force O/A Victor-GossCable's remote2-12" Mathey Dearman bevelersLN 25Miller Auto Set 211Wendy's Pancake/Jackson PipelinerNew Holland LS 180Great story man....tell it again! |
