I searched the forum, not much came up. I'm in the market for a 200-300 lb capacity lifting magnet. It would be for bundles of stock, sheets to 1/4", etc. I've seen several online and was wondering what others on the forum use.Thanks...Enough stuff to build and repair wrinkled up race cars or bring a classic back to life...
Reply:Electromagnet with 200lb lift - runs on 4 C cells - about $70.http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0012N...dir_mdp_mobileJohn
Reply:Are those any good when lifting/pulling at an angle?

Reply:the steel yard loads it with a magnet that is variable power and capable of lifting 5000lbs -10,000lbs most likely. a HUGE difference in comparison to a magnet working at capacity. picking a bundle with a small magnet is ASKING for a disaster or massive bodily injury.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
