Hi there, this is my first post. I'm not a welder but I found a 1943 Lincoln SAE 300 at my work and must get rid of it. It doesn't appear to be in great condition. Just wondering if it has any value as is, or for any copper inside (though I understand from reading other posts that it is difficult to extract the copper). A call to Lincoln Canada confirmed the age, that it is belt-driven and that exciter brushes are still available for it. Any help regarding it's value would be most appreciated.Thanks.

Reply:Well, that's why I'm here looking for help in getting more info in order to assess it. I don't know what's it's worth so I have know idea what to sell it for.
Reply:Pictures may help.
Reply:Farmers may be interested since it's belt drive hence can be converted to PTO easily.I'd have no trouble selling it here.

Reply:That's an actual PTO drive Lincoln. It appears to be "all there".Needs a resto but if it were near me I'd go 200-250 bucks for the heck of it. I have a welder friend who has conventional SA-200s and a variety of tractors who'd love to have one.
