Hi, Wondering about the 185 Outback if the small lightweight single cylinder welders can weld to the same standard as the heavier machines? If only welding 1/8 7018 DC rods could they handle that all day long ? Isuppose the single cylinder engine wouldnt last as long? But then cheaper to replace Know any good deals on them ? Thanks for any coments,
Reply:I looked at this and the 145. The duty cycle is just too low for me. Doubt theirs an issue with the power plants.I hate too say it, but the Wildcat 200 is a superior machine, better duty cylce and more watts. for $200 more. One just sold here, on a trailer, with leads and tool boxes for $3000. I saw a Cat go for 2600 a little while ago on eBay.Lincoln Power MIG 210 MP ( boat anchor )Lincoln Weld-Pac 100 HDHobart IronMan 230Cutmaster 42Jackson NexGenSumner Ultra ClampsDWM120
Reply:I personally own a Lincoln outback 145, I can say it can hang with the BIG BOYS welders out there. Yes the duty cycle are low but allowing it cool it will do just fine. Lincoln says it welds 1/8 rods and some 5/32 rods there right!! it welds the 5/32 just as good. Happy Hunting Last edited by sgt102; 03-14-2011 at 11:48 PM. |
