Reply:A whole bunch of the plastic containers with O rings in them...GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:I use the 10 pound tins , just reuse them and fill from a 50 pound box. I also have a couple rod guard holders for mobile stuff.
Reply:pvc pipe of various sizes, mostly 3" though.   two caps- one glued.   paint color code them.   do the same thing for tig wire
Reply:I keep all my tig rod in pvp tubes. Green caps= carbon - Silver caps= stainless - White caps= otherI keep all my stick rods in hermatically sealed cans, open as needed (1 at a time) and placed in Rod Guard tubes for safe keeping.  Attached ImagesLast edited by Murphy's law; 01-23-2015 at 06:23 AM.Reason: picture

Reply:I usually don't do much stick welding at the house, so I usually buy them as I need them. But lately I've been doing more and have considered finding a broken mini fridge to throw a 100w light bulb in. Rod ovens are too expensive, and hopefully this would keep my rods hot enough. It's not like I'm doing X-ray work at my house haha."If you ain't making mistakes, it means you aren't learning anything."
Reply:FarmerJoe, what if you need to repair your stock trailer?Put the rods in the kitchen stove?LOL!I keep mine in the furnace room as it is relatively dry.No need to worry about X-Ray as my wife took away my X-Ray Specs when she caught me looking at the neighbor girls!HA!HA!
