Custom scroll bracket

Had to make a bracket for a sign to match an existing bracket with a lamp. The lamp unit was a 1" sq. tube yard arm but the curved scrolled brace was a 1" sq. solid that was tapered down and scrolled. Don't have a forge for enough heat and my old arms were not going to do all that hammering on the anvil . So I did it with all tube, cut about a 7" wedge on each end, closed it up and welded, then bent the scrolls with heat.Drying the paint in the oven...(shop bathroom with an electric heater).

Reply:There was some concave on the tight scroll bends but it looked good or like it was supposed be like that.

Reply:Nice job. Getting tube all curved and scrolled isn't easy. I'd have rather used solid rather than mess with all the hassle of tube myself.
