Reply:Might be a different welder. Get the code number off the welder and go to Lincoln's web site and down load the owners manual. Read about the welder and see if it does what you want.Post the code and serial number here and we might be able to give you a better answer and how old it is.

Reply:I got some numbers from the guy but I can't find it at the Lincoln site. "Model AC/DC 225/125* Specification W352 3F5"All I can find is the buzz boxes with that model name.
Reply:Another pic.Last edited by orange4boy; 04-08-2011 at 10:50 PM.
Reply:See if you can get the serial number and the real code number. Maybe a picture of the serial number and data plate. I looked through the owners manual list and did not see any thing either. I am going to try to contact lincoln and see what they say.

Reply:The guy got back to me and says it's an earlier version of the ac/dc 125/225: "My welder is a older version of product # K1297 on the Lincoln websitesame specs."
Reply:Ask the guy for a CLEAR PIC of the face plate where all the electrical info is.If that is what I think it is....its a 440v or 3 phase machine made in Canada/Australia. I could always be wrong, but I have seen one before in an old auto-repair garage. If it is 230/240 v 1 phase....offer him 300$ ?JDLincoln IdealArc 250 AC/DC w/ tigLincoln Ranger 8Miller Millermatic 140Victor Cutting setForney gas welding setMilwaukee power-tools3 legged dog named SpeedyFridge full of Diet Coke1 angry wife2 loud kids

Reply:In the meantime I found a great deal on a second hand brand new Lincoln Precision TIG 185. The guy bought it a few years ago but never even plugged it in because he bought a mig at the same time and so didn't get around to learning tig. It was still on it's pallet with all the original packaging. |
