Having trouble with aluminum. Pictures of:0.095 in aluminum ( unknown type -scrap from local metal shop) Lincoln 0.030 4043 wire, spoolmate 100 gun on a MM211, 100%argon, voltage 3 wire speed 80. Really tried to maintain 3/4 in arc length. Not pictured-At 3/70 I was burning tips like crazy, at 2.5/70 it pops ( and really looks like bird poo. ) 4/80 almost looked like it washed all over. Reply:3/4" is a little too much arc length. Half that is what I maintain. |
