I have a Lincwelder 225 that I need a grid assembly part # L4065 for According to Lincoln site the part is obsolete. It looks like one of the grid "fingers" vibrated loose and took out another finger. Not sure what it does but could I fabricate 2 fingers to replace the burnt out ones. Still welds in higher heat ranges. I have a picture but cannot seem to figure out how to upload itAny ideas where I could get the part? Thanks in advanceTom
Reply:I forgot to say it is gas driven (onan engine) Model DC-225/3-AS. Code 7185
Reply:store your picture to a folder on your desktop. click on the paper clip, next to the smiley face above the text window. browse for the folder and upload the picture. You might be able to silver solder or TIG weld it back together.
Reply:Here is a picture of the part I need. can anyone tell me what it does, I think it has something to do with the heat ranges as when it is set on lower ranges, 100 and below it used to arc and you can see that it has burnt fingers and 2 of them were touching and are now not connected on one end of the V shaped fingers.
