I have a Lincoln SP100 with a broken Drive Motor Housing. Has anyone else had this problem with that unit. I understand they have now changed the whole replacement part for this and you have to buy the whole assembly. Anyone know where I might find the original type housing? Thanks
Reply:That's what the parts book shows. The old style drive has a large square block of brass that bolts to the front panel and the drive bolts to it. The new style, Brass gun block slides into the plastic drive housing and the drive housing is connected to the front panel by push in connectors and the motor connects to it. The drive housing for the current style is no very expensive. The upgrade kit is around $200 depending on mark ups.Post a picture of your drive and I can tell you which one you have,
Reply:Thanks for responding. I have the older square one with the brass block. I also have two of the newer styly housings but the old drive motor does not work with the new housing. Can you point me to a good source for the replacement assembly?
Reply:anybody who sells Lincoln parts. on line or welding supply.Check around this forum. There are several places talked about.
