Reply:If you can't find one used have a look at Cyberweld. They have 25 and 50 fot welder extension cords for a pretty reasonable price and frequently have a free freight offer too. I got the 50 foot 30 A for like 69 bucks IIRC. Worth a look anyway.BobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys? Trade?
Reply:Thanks for your reply!I didn't see any 6/3 extension cables on their site. 8/3 extension cables are easy to find, and reasonably priced. I'm just not sure how safe it would be to run the 8/3 as its rated for 40 amps I believe. However, I've never welded with my sync 200 maxed out. I mainly do light duty race car fab work. From time to time, I am just trying to get my welder over by the lift to do light gauge tube fabrication. I feel like a 8/3 25 ft extension would work just fine, I am just scared to damage the expensive tig welder. Any thoughts on this would be great! Thanks for your timeEFI Tuning SolutionsDyno Tuning and Race Fabricationhttp://www.dkgoodrich.comMiller Syncrowave 200Miller Coolmate 3Miller EconoTIGMiller MIGWeldcraft WP20, 25ft braided rubber, #12 gas lens
Reply:If the extension cord is too small, you'll know it. You won't damage the welder, but the cord will overheat, or you'll trip a breaker.Miller: 200dx, Bobcat 225, Passport, Powermax 45, Milwaukee: Dry Saw, MagDrill, grinders
Reply:Make one that way you can use the gauge wire you want. That's what I did lucky for me I had the wire laying around from a demo job I had did years ago. Will Supports Autism Awareness My ToysBobCat 225 PLusMillermatic 130Miller Spectrum 300 CutmateEverlast Power Tig 185 Micro April is Autism Month . |
