So I'm in the process of gathering up the required supplies for my scratch start tig set up. I read the 'I can tig with my welder' thread, and didn't see a listing for hoses from regulator to power block. I was thinking some 1/4" Vacuum tubing maybe, or some high pressure fuel line from the autoparts store?   Thanks in advance!
Reply:Just go to the lws and get the right inert gas hose withe the right fittings"
Reply:I'll second what Walker said, if you pick "just any hose" you may end up with a hose that is impregnated with oils as a result of the production process and have a hell of a mess when you try to get some welding done. Best regards, Allanaevald
Reply:A lot of people use green oxygen hose(myself included) but you really should use the black inert hose. I watched a demonstration where the guy coiled up some green hose and put it in a breaker of glycerin and then pressurized the hose......the glycerin practically turned to foam from all the tiny gas bubbles coming through the wall of the hose. I don't remember if the green is rubber and the black is Neoprene or not but I think that's right.
Reply:Right on. So just looking for inert gas hose.
