Can a miller Dialarc-HF 300  (blackface) be converted from 3 phase to single phase. Reply:That machine is not three phase. It is single phase with either two or three voltage input configurations. Jumpers should be on a small red panel on one side of the machine. Jumper configuration will be listed in the basic owners manual, per what style of machine you have (i.e. 200/230, 200/230/460, 230/460/575)Expert Garage Hack....https://www.facebook.com/steven.webber.948

Reply:Ahhh.In that case.......Uh, yeah... Yeah... It's three phase and not worth much because of that.... I've bought machinery like that dirt cheap a few times because the owner insisted it was "Three Phase". In most cases, ppl get high voltage confused with three phase power.With most AC capable TIG machines, they will almost always be single phase. Even the Syncrowave 500 is single phase. Reply:Lincoln site says it's 3ph and requires 75A at 230v.
Reply:You can't have AC on 3 phase with a conventional transformer. Even Lincolns AC1200 for sub-arc is single phase. Inverters can have AC on 3 phase.
