Folks, There are a bunch of Lincoln Idealarc 250's I run across online. Sometimes the sellers are just tool sellers or liquidators and don't know if the unit is AC only or AC/DC. I see that some have a switch on the top right of the tombstone...is that the indication of AC/DC? All of the ones I am looking at are tombstone style if that helps. Some don't have that top right of the box switch.
Reply:Yes that top right switch is usually for AC/DC..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:Strange that it would be difficult to discern/not be labeled, are they old?Respect Your Welders
Reply:You are looking for the upper lever switch and both AC and DC scales above and below the slot.(DC is the lower one)Here is the AC version. No lever switch and no DC scale.Last edited by MinnesotaDave; 03-04-2015 at 11:10 PM.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
