Hi guys,I'm still trying to figure out my style and what works best for me. Thought I would a quick test to see what penetrates best for me. I used same setting for each bead and tried to do same cursive "e" type of weave. I was really digging the look of the pushed bead - nice and flat whee the pull looked good but certainly had more crown to it. This is all on 1/4" plate - no bevel...just cleaned a little. Push:Pull:I'm still pretty novice and trying to learn my way so these are by no means scientific. That first weld on the push was a bad section but the 2nd push weld looked like the best from the top. I was very surprised to see how much deeper the penetration was on pullingHobart 210 MVP
Reply:I'd go with pull can't beat that penetration

Reply:Looks like gun angle was pointed down too much and that's why there's more weld and penetration on the bottom piece.
Reply:I would say its a little on the cold side, both the push and the pull have better penatratration on the side that was welded last, most likely while it was still hot.
