I needed a light on my bandsaw. I had a flex light that came off the cheapo black and decker bench grinder I use to grind my tungsten. But the little turn switch was snapped off. Hmm. Now what to make it out of? Cant use anything that conducts electricity, unless I want the snot zapped out of me everytime I used it .......AH HA!!Junk screwdriver handle. Drill a tiny hole.Pretty close for a white boy.Works like a charm. If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. Reply:Great little repair. I hate those turn switches... they break all the time. I'm sure they are made of the most brittle plastic possible or the heat gets to them. I bet your replacement will last longer than the brittle original provided it doesn't melt. I'll have to try your trick on the next one I break.
