Is the motor supposed to go into high idle when a grinder is used in the receptacle and the machine has an R57 idler?I think I read somewhere that the idle up feature doesn't work with a grinder and the R57 but I can be mistaken.http://www.facebook.com/groups/sa200weldersCurrent machines:Hobart G600 Powered by 1967 Chrysler LH-318 (Project)Hobart GF-250(Traded)68 Redface81 Blackface
Reply:It does not as wired from the factory. There is a way to trick it into idling up, cables remote can tell you how.
Reply:Its no big deal. If its not a feature that came from the factory I don't want to mess with it.I was showing a machine this weekend and the person plugged in a grinder and hit the switch. The grinder turned but not nearly fast enough and the engine didn't idle up. I thought that I had read somewhere that the R57 didn't work like that, not like the electric solenoid type.I wanted to confirm that before I showed it to the next person. If I decide to sell it at all that is.http://www.facebook.com/groups/sa200weldersCurrent machines:Hobart G600 Powered by 1967 Chrysler LH-318 (Project)Hobart GF-250(Traded)68 Redface81 Blackface
Reply:not hard to do and works fine, they can tell you how to do it better than I can.
Reply:Was the rehostat turned up all the way when you tryed the grinder?Well like they say in the Nut House --- I'M OFF
Reply:I don't think it was.http://www.facebook.com/groups/sa200weldersCurrent machines:Hobart G600 Powered by 1967 Chrysler LH-318 (Project)Hobart GF-250(Traded)68 Redface81 Blackface |
