61 magneto fires unless bolted to machine

I can spin the magneto by hand and get a half inch arc from a paperclip to the magneto body. When I bolt it to the machine I get nothing.  The kill switch lug on the side opens when turnover engine. Welder is 61 sa200 with fairbanks Morris fx4b mag. Any ideas?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
