I asked this on another forum and I figured if I am going to get an answer to this it would be on this forum.I have been looking for an aluminum **** knob with a 2.25" or a 2.5" diameter, and I cannot seem to find one. All that I have been able to find stop at a 2" diameter for whatever reason. Does anyone have the ability to make one? I do not have access to a lathe or whatever else you would need to make it. I also need it to be tapped for a 16x1.5 thread. I dont know why I cannot find one on all of the interwebz
Reply:I would guess over half the active members here can make what you seek. Sadly, I am not one of them.
Reply:Thats why I posted it here haha
Reply:Do the commercially-available shift knobs meet your needs? There are plenty of them out there for sale. I've been looking for a shift knob myself lately (I don't really like the stock knob on the Honda Fit I just bought). Lots of aluminum 'racing' knobs out there. Not sure I want to have an aluminum knob...my impression is that it would be hot in the sun and cold in the winter.Oh...and sorry...while I could, theoretically make the knob, with my mini lathe, I'm not really very practiced with it yet.KevKevin / Machine_Punk from The Aerodrome Studio - Lincoln PowerMIG 210 MP - Meco N Midget w/custom welding station - Vintage Victor 100Current Projects: The Aerodrome Studio
