1978 sa300

I have a 1978 sa300 that i would like to trade for a sa200 or 250. The machine runs and welds like a dream and is on my current rig which is a f450. It has 120v at idle and 240v at high idle both work great. The truck and welder are just a bit big for what i need at the moment. Would like to down size to a 1 ton truck and sa200 size machine. Truck and welder are in Ashland Va. which is right outside Richmond. Would rather trade for smaller machine than sell outright so im not left without a machine.Thanks Ben
Reply:Ben, what engine is in your 300, and how many hours?
Reply:It has the continental f227 6cyl only like 300 hours on the hour meter but i dont think it came with one from the factory. They guy i bought it from thought that the engine had just been gone though before he got it which was several years ago. It starts up very easy, has good oil pressure, has no blowby, and does not smoke.
Reply:Oh and it is wired for a cables remote.
Reply:Hey Ben, if I were you I would add pictures to this thread.  Pics of both sides with the doors down so condition of the sheetmetal can be seen, pics of both sides with the doors up so we can see the insides, and one of the control panel.  Make sure your pictures are well-focused and bright.  Some people even take videos of their machine being started, run, and idling up and down.  Anything you can do like this will help you sell (or in your case, trade).
