Hood on my G-258 roughed. I should have taken before photos but once into a job I really don't stop. This thing had a tree fall on it in the 70's according to former owner and it had literally 3/4" filler in it through about 3/4 of the hood. A mushroom bit on an air hammer and an 8" 40 grit "D" weight disc on a "mud hogg" to rip the filler and paint off, and about three hours beat, heat, shrink, etc. and it's just about 1/8" low now through the middle. I may finish it out tomorrow. Take note of the drilled but not welded shut holes for some dent puller action. Also the rip that was never repaired/welded up after knocking the metal back into semi rough shape. Almost looks like "Mickey Mouse" paid me a visit too. Reply:Wow.  That's a lot of work and is looking good.  Would have been nice to have seen a before shot but I've seen an SA200 that had a tree fall on it and have a good idea what it must have looked like. Reply:Thanks Duane. Didn't have anything to do so decided to work with this. I think the hood lost about 10 pounds when stripped. I'll pull it again and the fuel tank to straighten the filler neck which is laid over a bit. With the hood straight, it doesn't align correctly in the protrusion hole.
