Can anyone tell me about this machine? It's been on the Farm for decades & I want to put it to work. It looks to be an AC/DC, 4.5KW 110/230 machine Where can I get owners manuals etc?
Reply:If you've got the serial # for the machine, you can go to millerwelds.com , services and support tab. Go to owner's manuals, select your model # and input your serial, and you should pull up a manual. I've been working on an Onan powered AEAD200, trying to get it back into service, so I have a few Onan specific manuals and such. I'll be glad to help if I can.
Reply:Ok thanks for the tip got itAEAD 200LES/N W525120On the coil I seen a CB 900-459The ONAN motor is a CCK MS/1196G S/N 0170197431If you have an extra manual to match up let me know I put a teaspoon of Hydrogen Peroxide in each battery cell and a small charger on it last night & the battery is back to life today The motor seems to start & run at idle ok, at 1800 RPM fairly well but at 3000 it wanted to wander, could be the throttle lever vibrating loose. The gas tank is rusted up & I ran it off a plastic lawnmower tank to the fuel pump.I let it run for 10-15 mins & the battery climbed from 12.8v to reading 13V so it appears the charging circuit is working. I didn't throw the 110V switch & load it or try an ARC yet. Shut it down & drained the oil |
