PQR requirement on weldabale primed part

Hi,Can anyone help me out in below question.A part which is coated with weldable primer requires a new PQR to be qualified or not? Note: The existing PQR was qualified on the raw plateAnticipating your valuable in put.Thank you, EP

Reply:I think you do need to re-qualify the PQR, and detail the product and application. Just about every spec requires some form of cleaning to bare metal.
