Anybody running one of these. Reply:Got AL.Purchased mine in June 2004 from BR Welder.  I have the TIG Runner with the water cooler.  It is a great machine.  I guess the only down fall is the size, she eats up some floor space.  I went with the 250dx since I was using a similar machine at the community college and wanted more capacity than the 180-185A machines.  I was looking at the Lincoln 185 and also the Dynasty machines.  They were all nice but I decided to go with the tried and true old school transformer machine in the end.Is this for personal use or a business?  What will be the primary use of the machine? Reply:It is for personal business. I am an electrician at a power plant during the day and have an aluminum welding and fabrication business at the shop at my house. I stayed snowed under from the local boat dealers. I specialize in marine related work. I am running a dialarc 250 now but I need to upgrade because I am welding Honda goldwing motorcycle frames that have been recalled. My dialarc welds them fine but running 230 amps is melting the cover of my torch. 200 amp is the biggest they make in air cooled. Reply:Hey Got AL,I want a comparison between your dialarc and this machine when you get it.  I have been considering this for a few years, and since we are both starting from basically the same equip, you have the correct frame of mind...so to speak.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.

Reply:If you're doing a lot of aluminum, you may want to consider the Dynasty machines.  The Syncrowaves are also great though.  Size, as mentioned, is an issue to be considered.  The inverter machines are a bit better on electricity consumption.
