Reply:That weld is fine for what it needs to do. Kinda looks like a bit of a crater hole at the tie in close to the top. Probably just in the surface, though.One thing I like to do, make the tacks real small so I can weld over top of them, that way you don't have a tie-in in the middle of the cap, or a big bulge where you went over it. They don't have to be short, just run them fast and skinny.
